Lou Ferrigno "The Incredible Hulk"


The famous Louis Jude "Lou" Ferrigno is of Italian descent and was born in 1951 in New York, USA. He is an actor, Personal Trainer, and a retired Pro bodybuilder. 
He started weight training at the age of 13. As a bodybuilder, he made his Pro debut at the NABBA Mr. Universe in 1972 and won an IFBB Mr. America title (1973) and two consecutive IFBB Mr. Universe titles (1973-74). Lou Ferrigno also took part 4 times at IFBB Mr. Olympia contests. He competed in the first annual World's Strongest Man competition in 1977, where he finished fourth in among eight competitors and also played in the Canadian Football League. 

He was the biggest Pro bodybuilder of the time and appeared on TV screens in the documentary "Pumping Iron" (1977) but he is best known as an actor for portraying the title role in the CBS television series "The Incredible Hulk" (1978). He has also appeared in European-produced fantasy-adventures such as "Sinbad of the Seven Seas" and "Hercules". 

Lou Ferrigno can be considered as one of the biggest bodybuilders in the history like the Canadian Greg Kovacs. During competition, at 1.94cm/6'4'' he weighed 130kg/287lb in 1975 and 142 kg/313lb in 1992! He retired from competitive bodybuilding in 1995.
