It's always an uphill battle to take the title away from the current Olympia Champion. However, when it comes to Men’s Physique, the title has changed twice in the past two years. Mark Anthony Wingson was the first-ever Men’s Physique Olympia Champion in 2013, only to have the title taken away the following year by Jeremy Buendia. Jeremey went on to hold the title for 4 years in a row when he finally lost the title to Brandon Hendrickson. Brandon also only held the title for one year, when Raymont Edmonds stripped it away from him in 2019.

So Raymont Edmonds looks to defend his reigning title this year, but this will not be a walk in the park for the champ. Raymont came in 2nd place to Hendrickson in the 2018 Olympia, only to turn around and make a statement with his win in 2019. He has always brought great conditioning to the stage and his size and shape will be hard to beat.

Andre Ferguson is undoubtedly the number one contender to potentially take the Olympia title away from Edmonds. He was right on the heels of Raymont last year and from what we’ve seen this year, he is hungrier than ever to claim the title that has eluded him so far. Despite falling short of winning the Olympia title, Ferguson is the 3-time reigning Men’s Physique Arnold Classic Champion. We feel this very well could be the year for Andre to walk away with the title once the dust settles in Orlando.

There is no way we are ready to count out Kyron Holden from potentially taking the title this year also. While he came in 3rd at the 2019 Olympia, he has managed to put on some serious mass this year, while holding onto some insane conditioning. He did take 1st place at the 2019 Legion Sports Fest Pro Men's Physique, which appears to have given him the momentum he needed to kick off a stellar offseason leading into this Olympia contest.

While it is a bit of a long-shot to see Brandon Hendrickson regain his Olympia title, you should never dismiss the potential for the former Men’s Physique Olympia Champion to bring a physique to stage that steals the show. Even though the possibility for Brandon to surprise us, we do expect to see him finish in 4th place again this year.

We are also keeping an eye on Canadian Men’s Physique competitor Bhuwan Chauhan, as he makes his 2nd straight Olympia appearance. It was an impressive victory at the 2019 Vancouver IFBB Pro Show that earned Bhuwan his first Olympia qualification, although he did not place last year. Once again, Chauhan earned his way to the big show with an overall victory, this time winning the 2020 Border States Pro Men's Physique. Best of luck this year eh!
