Olympia Contest Coverage Sponsored by BODYPRO Gym
For our team at Muscle Insider, we feel that the Women’s Fitness Division is the most difficult category of the entire Olympia competition. Not only do the women have to come in peak condition, but they must also maintain a level of athleticism that always seems to leave us speechless. For fans of the Fitness Division, we were excited to witness for the first time in the history of Fitness Olympia, 3 current and former champions sharing the same stage this year in Orlando. Unfortunately, that number has been reduced to only two after Adela Garcia dropped out of the 2020 Olympia.
After a 2-year hiatus from competing on the Fitness Olympia stage, we are thrilled to see 4-time Miss Fitness Olympia Champion Oksana Grishina returning to the Olympia stage. Oksana is one of the most talented IFBB Pro athletes to ever compete on stage. If there is anyone that has a chance to take the title away from the reigning Fitness Olympia Champion, it will be Oksana.
Whitney Jones will be fighting to earn her third straight Miss Fitness Olympia Championship. From what we’ve seen in recent training videos, Whitney looks to be in the healthy shape of her career leading into a contest. This makes us believe that we will be seeing the best package Jones has brought to the Olympia stage ever. If she is going to fend off Oksana, she will have to be at the top of her game, and we cannot wait to see these two elite athletes leave it all on the stage.
Last year’s event had two Canadians sharing the podium with Whitney Jones, with Missy Truscott (Dual Citizen Canada & USA) and Ryall Graber finishing 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. We expect to see these ladies finishing in the top 4 once again, right behind the two champions mentioned above.
Allison Ethier is another Canadian stepping on the Fitness Olympia stage this year. Allison placed 12th in 2018 but has since gone on to place 6th at the 2019 Fitness International, 5th at the 2019 Toronto Pro Fitness, and 1st place at the 2019 Ben Weider Natural Pro Fitness.
Fellow Canadian Terra Plum will be making her Fitness Olympia debut this year, after a busy competition season. Terra competed 7 times in 2019, along with a 3rd place finish at the 2020 European Pro Fitness. We want to wish Terra good luck in her first Olympia performance. We are sure she will do us all proud.
